Here is a demo we did for various Imagineers. The premise was I was giving a boring lecture then OMG the Big Dino knocks down the wall and starts for the audience. I actually got a question to the gibberish I was saying. It was very hard to make up tech-speak that was suppose to sound complicated. As I listen to this video, I have no idea what I am talking about. This was a sizzle video of one of those actual demos.
The Big Dino walked so slow we wanted to come up with a memorable demo within its abilities. The person loudly going through the door and noise behind the wall was all part of the gag. Please believe me when I say my speech and me fumbling with my papers was all part of the act. If you look closely at the video, there are two pipes with round rubber pieces at the end that stick out in front of the Dino. We actually had it lurch forward to knock down the wall.
In one demo, an executive from another division, maybe not used to crazy Imagineering demos, stood up and ran away when the wall fell down. They had a good laugh afterwards.
This is not the demo that Michael Eisner saw, his was before this and this was a last-ditch effort to sell this idea.
